2023 Fellowship on Immigrant Integration
Fellowship runs from May 2023 to August 2023 and is open to SUNY and CUNY graduate students
Fellows will work with experts at the Institute on Immigrant Integration Research and Policy to assess immigrant integration policy, produce policy briefs, and analyze and compile data to fill research gaps

Albany, NY — The Institute on Immigrant Integration Research and Policy (III) at the Rockefeller Institute of Government is welcoming applications for its inaugural Fellowship on Immigrant Integration.
The fellowship is an intensive three-month program that runs from May 15, 2023, to August 15, 2023. Fellows will work 240 hours (20 hours per week) during their fellowship and will be awarded a stipend of $4,800. The fellowship will utilize a blended format that combines remote work arrangements with monthly in-person trips to the Institute’s headquarters in Albany, NY.
The 2023 fellows will deepen their understanding of the contextual factors that influence integration outcomes, examine successful policies and practices for advancing immigrant integration, compile and analyze data using a range of research tools to fill the knowledge gap on immigrant integration, assess policy implications of indicators of economic, social, and civic integration, and produce policy briefs that analyze determinants of immigrant integration.
Minimum qualifications for the fellowship are:
- enrollment in a SUNY or CUNY graduate school,
- completion of at least 12 credit hours of graduate coursework, and
- a 3.0 GPA or greater.
Preferred qualifications include:
- demonstrated skills in quantitative and/or qualitative research, and
- at least 3 years of experience in a professional or volunteer capacity.
